“K‑Bingo” – the Korean literature reading challenge!

22.01.2026–21.05.2026

The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Estonia has donated more than 100 books in Korean and about Korean culture to Liivalaia library. A reading challenge involving all the Korean literature in Tallinn Libraries called “K‑Bingo” will be held from the 22nd of January to the 21st of May to celebrate the donation. Participating in the challenge gives you an opportunity to win different prizes put up by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea.

The reading challenge is formatted as a bingo sheet (link) with 25 different themes. Multiple different literary works can fall under all of the themes. The goal of the challenge is to read books that fall under different themes and give the library feedback about them.

All the participants will be entered into a prize draw at the end of the reading challenge.

Plus four special prizes will be awarded to:

  • two of the participants who gave the best feedback
  • two of the participants who read the most books

How to participate?

  • Borrow books by Korean authors or about Korean culture from our libraries or the Overdrive  digital library that fit the “K-Bingo” themes.
  • After reading, fill in a short feedback form at the library or online.
  • If you feel especially inspired by one of the books you read, you can write a review, make a video or present the contents of the book in a different creative way. Send it to the address vo@nulltln.lib.ee or share it on social media using the hashtag #LiivalaiaKBingo and tagging @tallinnaraamatukogud.
  • Fill as many squares on the bingo sheet as you can.

Challenge yourself and win awards put up by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea!
