Mobile Library

Books, news, and culture – all waiting for you on the bus!

The mobile library carries approximately 4,000 different items, offering a selection of both non-fiction and fiction literature for children, youth, and adults. Our collection mainly includes works in Estonian and Russian, with some available in English and Ukrainian. Whether you’re looking to discover new reading experiences or expand your knowledge, the book bus has something for every taste.

The Tallinn Library (formerly Tallinn Central Library) reader’s card is valid on the bus. If you would like to become a reader, please familiarize yourself with the library’s policy and register conveniently online.

The mobile library makes stops at various locations throughout Tallinn. Check out our route and find the stop closest to you. We invite everyone to participate in our public events – you can find the schedule here.

For visitors with special needs, the bus is equipped with a wheelchair lift, an induction loop, and a magnifier. Assistance from a staff member is required to use the lift. Please press the “NEED LIFT” button located near the door if you wish to use the lift. A staff member will come to help you safely board the bus.

Onboard the bus, you can use the self-service machine and a computer, which allows you to register as a reader and search for items in the e-catalogue.

Materials that have the status “AVAILABLE” in the ESTER e-catalogue can be conveniently reserved by calling 5303 7737 or by sending an email to buss@nulltln.lib.ee. It is not possible to join a waiting list for items currently checked out by other readers.

The mobile library does not offer an interlibrary loan service from other libraries, with the exception of materials from Pelguranna Library.
