  1. Consultations for new arrivals
The department is located at Liivalaia 40 (on the ground floor of an apartment building). The collection holds approximately 133 000 items, including a vast selection of textbooks and fiction in Russian, English, German, French and other languages.

 

The department has a special room for parents and babies. This room is accessible from our lobby and can be used for feeding your child or for changing their diapers. The room has a comfortable chair, a changing table, a sink and a lidded trash can. The room is free to use for all parents who are in the city center area with their child.

 

Parking and public transport

The four closest bus stops are all named “Hotell Olümpia”. The following buses travel through these bus stops: 3, 16, 17, 17A, 23, 39, 47 and 54.

Parking is possible in the Stockmann department store parking lot, according to their rates or behind the apartment building on the street – parking zone: KESKLINN.

Department of Literature in Estonian is located in the main building of Tallinn Central Library at Estonia pst 8. Their services include homelending, children’s services and reading room services.

Guests in wheelchair

Wheelchair access is available from the Western side of the building (opposite Tallinn English College). Upon arrival please ring the doorbell or call us at 683 0912. It’s recommendable for disabled people to be accompanied by a friend or a relative.

Nõmme Library

To get to Nõmme Library you can either take bus number 10, 27, 33 (Võsu station) or 23, 36, 45 (station Nõmme). Parking is available in front of the house. The library is wheelchair-accessible.

Nurmenuku Library

The nearest station to the library is Nurmenuku, bus number 10, 13, 27, 28, 42, 45, 46, 47, 61 and Meistri station, bus number 10, 12, 16, 26, 26A, 27, 28, 37, 45, 46, 61, 64. Parking is available in front of the house for 3 hours. Use the elevator to get to the fourth floor.

The library is located on the fourth floor of Männi community centre. The nearest bus stations are Kraavi – bus number 33 and Pihlaka – bus number 5 and 32. People in wheelchairs have access to the library through the main door of the retirement home: We, Fr 11.00 – 16.00, Th 12.00 – 16.00. Phone 655 9718.

Kalamaja Library

Balti jaam (the Baltic Station) is the nearest station to the libray. You can either take a tram number 1, 2/ bus number 59, 43, 66 or a trolleybus number 4, 5. <br /><br /><b>Only paid parking is available.</b> There is a lift for persons with disabilities in the library. Staff can help with operating the lift if needed.
