For Ukrainian children and families

In our libraries, nice and safe reading spaces await all children and families. The reading spaces have books, games and other great activities. It is also possible to playfully learn Estonian.

Hours and locations of our Libraries

  • Tallinn Central Library main building (Estonia pst 8)

Tuesdays at 15.00 we practice Estonian by playing board games

Wednesdays at 12.30 we play reading games

Fridays at 14.00 we play reading games and ring games to practice Estonian

  • The Department of Literature in Foreign Languages (Liivalaia 40)

Wednesdays at 12.30 we learn English by playing board games. Pre-register at vko@nulltln.lib.ee

Saturdays at 14.00 we make arts and crafts and learn Estonian.

  • Kadrioru branch library (L. Koidula 12a)

Saturdays at 12 we have children’s lesson. We play with modelling clay, drew and depending on the weather are outdoors and get acquainted with interesting children’s books.

20th and 27th of April we have an Estonian Language Café

Saturdays at 12.00 ABC-games. We learn simple Estonian words and phrases in a playful way. We communicate in Estonian/Russian/English.

Saturdays at 12.00 Children’s morning. We get to know the neighborhood children, paly, craft, read, sing, chat and get acquainted with children’s books.

The second Thursday of every month at 10.30 the smallest members of the neighborhood and their parents meet to communicate with friends, get acquainted with the library and children’s books and make arts and crafts.
